Welcome to My Blog!

I love discovering connections.

I get a kick out of finding similarities and sussing out threads between two seemingly random items. That’s why I pine for the day when Connections returns to TV for a fourth series.

That also goes for the movies I see. By chance, I started playing a game with myself, trying to figure out what older movie would match up with the one that I was watching.

It started with The Invention of Lying. Right about the part of the film where Gervais switches from lying to laying (about the house) my mind started wandering. There wasn’t much going on, there, except Gervais dolled up as a messianic figure.

Both with that movie, and the other movie I saw that day, Zombieland, I enjoyed playing ‘double feature’. Thus, a blog was born.

Even though this little experiment began with films in wide release, I’m going to focus more on DVDs. That’s so the thoughtful viewer can rent both films at the same time, and can Compare-and-Contrast in the privacy of their own home theatres.

If you have any suggestions for Double Feature pairings, please let me know and I’ll post them!
